KSCA School Counselor of the Year Award

Do you know a great school counselor? Please take time to nominate an outstanding school counselor to be the Kansas School Counselor of the Year! 

For nominees to be considered, they must: 

1) hold a Professional License as a School Counselor from the State of Kansas.

2) be employed full time and have completed 5 or more full years as a school counselor.

3) be a Kansas School Counselor Association and American School Counselor Association member.

KSCA Principal Advocate Award

As Professional School Counselors, we know we cannot do it alone. There are many great school principals who share our vision and support the work we do and this is an opportunity to recognize them. 

Qualifications:

1) You, the School Counselor, are required to be a licensed school counselor and KSCA member to nominate your principal

2) Upload a recommendation letter that includes the following information about how your principal:

• supports school counseling specific professional development

• encourages the use of data collection and implementation in relation to your school counseling comprehensive program

• demonstrates actions towards having a safe and positive school climate

• embraces school counseling initiatives
